Wow… we have not seen a spring so beautiful in so long! Every flowering tree looks so amazing and vibrant. Plus they are holding their blooms for so much longer than we have been lucky enough to see in past springs.

This has definitely helped lessen the pain of driving through the north side of downtown Glen Ellyn and dealing with road closures and views down Main Street that look more like it probably did back in the 1800’s! We definitely realize that this is a “no pain…no gain” scenario and our town will look better than ever once it’s all completed.

On top of this, we have not seen a spring real estate market that has frustrated buyers to this level. Inventory continues to be low, multiple offers are the norm and the number of buyers looking continues to grow. Please reach out to us if you are contemplating selling!

We wanted to share some news on local fun openings if you enjoy a fun cocktail in a beautiful setting or miss the retail shopping options that Danada used to have,

The Parlour at Park & Oak– This warm and inviting cocktail lounge was created by the local interior design firm Park & Oak and is located adjacent to their showroom at 499 Pennsylvania in downtown Glen Ellyn. They are open Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm-9pm.

J Crew Factory– We love J Crew and are so excited that they are now open at the Danada Square East shopping center- right by Whole Foods.

Nordstrom Rack– Also opening in the Danada Square East shopping center will be a 29,000 Nordstrom Rack. We have to wait until spring of 2024 for its opening, but we have a feeling it will be worth the wait!
